Oikeo Call #35 – Glory, Gratitude, and God’s Continued Grace

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.”

Revelation 12:11 (KJV)

As the first Oikeo call of 2026 opened, Denise Brown set the tone for the year with a fervent prayer of expectation. This was no routine ritual. It was a charge. A spiritual clearing. A collective inhale as we prepare to walk boldly into what lies ahead. She invited us to bring our petitions and place them on the altar—expecting healing, deliverance, solutions, and divine encounters.

That spirit of anticipation wasn’t hypothetical; it was historical. Because Oikeo doesn’t gather out of habit—we gather out of testimony. The God who answered us in 2025 is the same God who will answer us again. We know this because we’ve lived it. And if you don’t have your own testimony yet, Denise reminded us, listen to someone else’s. Because the same God who shows up for them is coming for you too.

Testimony Builds the Wall

This call reminded us that testimonies are bricks. They help build the collective wall of our faith. When someone stands and declares that God healed, made a way, opened a door—what they’re really doing is offering us a blueprint. That’s why this community is essential. We don’t just intercede. We build together. We share divine receipts of a God who is still in the miracle-working business.

And in a world that feels increasingly fragile, we don’t need empty positivity. We need power. As Romans 15:4 (NIV) says, “Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”

Grief, Gratitude, and Still Standing

As we crossed into this new year, Denise gave voice to a tension many are feeling. There is gratitude—for life, for breath, for the privilege of witnessing a new season. But there is also grief. Loss has been real. Personal. Public. Tangible. And yet… we are still here.

That “yet” is sacred. That “still” is warfare. Because it means the story isn’t over. In Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV), the prophet writes, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Even in sorrow, God’s faithfulness has not skipped a beat. And for those who are barely hanging on—this call was a gentle but firm reminder: you are not alone.

Ongoing Community, Ongoing Power

Oikeo isn’t a one-time revival. It’s a rhythm. A structure for those committed to showing up and seeking God together. Denise encouraged everyone to stay engaged, revisit past calls at Oikeo.org, and keep the circle growing. The work God is doing here doesn’t end with the benediction. And the invitation still stands: share the call. Invite others. Bring your people in.

Men of the circle, you have your time too. Every second Sunday at 6:00 PM EST, the brothers gather under Keith Johnston’s leadership to strengthen each other in prayer. Mark it. Join it. Build it.

A Final Word

There was no sermon this week—only a space to listen, pray, and reconnect. But perhaps that was the message. In a world obsessed with productivity, Oikeo reminded us that presence matters. That being still is powerful. That before we do anything else in 2026, we pause to say: “Thank you, Lord.”

So we move forward with humility and holy anticipation. Our hands are open. Our hearts are lifted. And our faith is rooted in the One who never fails.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” (Ephesians 3:20, NIV)
