Oikeo Call #28: I’m So Glad God Doesn’t Play About Me

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.”

– Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)

This month’s Oikeo Prayer Call brought down heaven. With passion, urgency, and fierce tenderness, the community gathered under the banner of God’s unwavering love and protection. The theme — “I’m So Glad God Doesn’t Play About Me” — was more than a declaration. It was a warrior’s cry, a reminder that the God we serve does not sit idly by while His children are attacked, overlooked, or misjudged. This was a call to armor up, lift our heads, and remember: we are not alone.

Centering Scriptures

Isaiah 54:17 (NIV):
“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.

Psalm 18:39 (NIV):
“You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me.”

Romans 8:31 (NIV):
“If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Fighting Back with Faith

Throughout the call, the message was clear: sometimes you have to fight back — spiritually. Not with violence or vengeance, but with prayer, declaration, and unwavering faith.

Participants were encouraged to speak life over their situations. To rebuke the spirit of defeat. To stand firmly, knowing that while others may not always defend you, God does. He shows up in moments of rejection, silence, transition, and attack. When others count you out, He counts you worthy.

Holy Boldness and Divine Identity

At the heart of the call was a celebration of identity. A powerful word echoed throughout the session:

“You are not random. You are not alone. You are God’s child — and He doesn’t play about you.”

That truth re-centered weary spirits. It reminded the community that favor isn’t always fair — but it’s always divine. And even when others don’t understand why you’re blessed, called, or protected, God’s covering is non-negotiable.

Breath of God, Breath of Strength

Moments of the call turned toward the Holy Spirit’s breath — the very breath that animates us, fuels us, and steadies us in battle. There was a deep call to exhale stress and inhale truth. To release lies and receive clarity. Prayer became not only a tool for change but a weapon of rest — a space to lean into God’s sustaining presence.

Takeaway: Walk Like You’re Backed by Heaven

This call ended with fire. Encouragement flowed like oil:

  • Speak over yourself with power.
  • Don’t apologize for God’s favor.
  • Know that His vindication will silence every tongue.
  • And most of all: walk like you’re backed by heaven.

Because you are.

What About You?

Have you ever felt unseen, misjudged, or under attack — even while doing what God asked of you? This call reminded us that God never loses track of His own. He doesn’t fumble with your name. He doesn’t overlook your pain. He shows up. Every. Single. Time.
